The ROSCOE DOG nebulizer system. We have to do a "challenge" where we supposedly have to give him the treatment every 4-6 hours for the next few days to see if we notice any change in his cough. I really really hope this works. I pray Jordan doesn't end up having asthma but I'm also glad it isn't anything worse. Other than this cough, Jordan is a happy healthy boy!

Roscoe Dog to the Rescue
For those who don't know, Jordan has had a nagging cough for about 4 months now. He got sick in Pensacola and we took him to the ER a couple times. They noticed he had some wheezing along with a cold and cough and gave him a steroid treatment which didn't really help. Now that we're back in Vegas, his cough is STILL present. At his 6 month well-baby check, his pediatrician prescribed him an inhaler. We gave him a few puffs anytime he went through a coughing spell but Jordan hates using that thing! We also noticed that his cough changed from a dry cough to a wet cough. Yes, Jordan got another cold AND his cough got WORSE after he got his 4 month shots (he's behind on his shots because our records weren't in Pensacola at the time). Sooooo, we took him back to the doctor today. We told the pediatrician, AKA Dr. Ho, that his cough hasn't gotten any better, how it changed to a wet cough with congestion AND that he hates using the inhaler. Dr. Ho listened to his lungs and heard some faint expiratory wheezing. She said she can't diagnose him with asthma due to the fact that he's too young for tests, so she went ahead and gave him an Albuterol nebulizer treatment in her office and noticed it helped a bit. So, she sent us home with this:

Movin' on up
Yes, we are literally "movin' on up". We just found out today that we'll be PCSing up north to Scott AFB in Illinois this July! We are very excited to experience something new :). Scott AFB is located in southwestern Illinois and is about 5 hours away from Chicago and 40 minutes from St. Louis, Missouri. Vegas has been good to us, but we are ready for a more "family oriented" town. One thing I'm looking forward to is the fact that IL has four seasons! And oh, how can I forget trees? ;) Can't wait!

First for everything!
Okay, so I always thought about starting a blog but never followed through because of the fact that I won't keep up with it. Upon stumbling across a blog that a friend posted, I just had to try it! Let's see how long this lasts . . .
